Ultrasound Wound Therapy That Never Touches the Wound
UltraMIST® delivers low-frequency ultrasound through a fine saline mist — a non-contact treatment our providers bring to the bedside for wounds that need more than dressings alone.

Sound Energy, Carried by Mist
The device turns sterile saline into a gentle mist and uses it to carry low-frequency ultrasound energy into the wound bed. The applicator stays a short distance from the tissue, so there’s no pressure on the wound and nothing touching the fragile skin around it.
UltraMIST® is FDA-cleared to promote wound healing through wound cleansing and maintenance debridement — removing fibrin, yellow slough, exudate and bacteria.
Wounds It May Be Used For
Whether a specific wound is a good candidate is decided by the treating provider after a full assessment.
What It’s Designed to Do
Helps Remove Bacteria & Biofilm
The ultrasound-energized mist cleanses the wound bed and helps clear bacteria, biofilm and slough that can keep a wound stuck.
Promotes Healthy Granulation Tissue
A cleaner wound bed gives healthy granulation tissue the conditions it needs to form.
May Reduce Healing Time
In appropriate patients, adding UltraMIST® to standard care may shorten the time to closure.
Non-Contact & Well Tolerated
Nothing touches the wound bed, making it a comfortable option for residents with painful or fragile wounds.
Short Sessions, Built Into Weekly Rounds
Standard care first. UltraMIST® is used in addition to standard wound care — debridement, appropriate dressings, pressure offloading, compression for venous ulcers when indicated, and infection management. It strengthens a good treatment plan; it doesn’t stand in for one.
